Bengaluru, 23 March 2023: The Web Werks - Iron Mountain Data Centers (IMDC) Joint Venture, today announced the launch of their first data center on their campus in Bengaluru, India. The data center is located in the prime area of Whitefield, Bengaluru and is well positioned as a gateway to Southern India. Situated in an 80,000 square feet facility, the BLR-1 is a Tier III-designed data center that can support up to 4MW of IT load.

The Web Werks-Iron Mountain Data Centers joint venture plans to invest around Rs 7,500 crore to set up data centres in India’s major cities by 2026.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday said Web Werks Iron Mountain joint venture is mulling to invest another Rs 4,000 crore to create data centre capacity in the state.
